Cure

The Gospel of John states that “In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.” In a Hebrew context, light indicates God’s presence, meaning that Jesus living on earth was like God being among us.

The life that John refers to is an eternal life, one that is immortal and full of God. It is a spiritual life that is free from the penalty of sin, shame, and guilt. This life is the light of all.

Because of His love for us, Jesus came to be the light for us. He humbled Himself, taking the form of a slave and coming in the likeness of men. He is the only one who can make us right with God. We cannot keep the law on our own, nor can we live up to our own standards, let alone the laws of God. We needed Jesus to die for us so that we could have the life that God intended for us. The only cure for sin is Jesus Christ because He is the light that shines. Through His finished work on the cross, He has made us righteous. He is the cure for our darkness.

Let His light shine on you and through you.

God Bless You!
