A letter to my younger self, I am proud of you, you did what you could do with what you had.
These lessons are for you but stay teachable!
- Everyone is unique: but no one is perfect. Strive to be at peace with yourself, which can only come through intimacy with Jesus.
- Value what you have: In the race of having more, be present and grateful for the moment.
- Asking for help takes courage: Sometimes, we prioritize independence and feel ashamed to admit our limitations.
- Forgive quickly: There is so much freedom when you forgive someone because unforgiveness is a heavy burden and it will never want you to live.
- Love passionately: learn to love vulnerably, commit fully, and steward those relationships.
- Everyday is a new opportunity: Don’t give up. There’s so much more to life than you can imagine.
- Take care of your mental health: Admitting that you struggle with depression and reaching out to people will make you enjoy the life more.
- Prioritize your health: Walk regularly, exercise, and stay hydrated to boost your immune system.
- Sleep well: Sleeping is a superpower so don’t lose it by overthinking and internet lol.
- Laugh more: Learn from your mistakes without dwelling on them. Don’t let guilt hold you back. As the Joker famously said, ‘Why so serious?’
- Read Your Bible: Read the Bible with a focus on personal application, not just sermon preparation.
- Pray: Find a spot where you could be alone with God and talk to Him.
Remember, every day is a new opportunity to grow and improve. May these 12 reminders guide you on your journey. These points that I have written is not came from regret but a place of peace and inspiration. Life happens but we move on because God is with us and He is with us right now.
Let me know in comments if it has blessed you in some way.
PS: This picture was taken by my friend, and it was my first time playing bowling.
